During her career, Prof. Esposito won 9 national and international awards and she received more than 10 Grant for research. Research in the Esposito Laboratory develops dominant activity in research of novel pharmacological targets for counteracting the neuroinflammation pathways, including brain cancer, the physiopathology of central nervous system and neurodegenerative diseases.

Since Prof. Esposito is responsible also for the course in Neuroncology at the University of Messina (Master degree in Biology) and she collaborates with the “Oncologic Institute of the Mediterranean” (IOM, Catania, Italy), her research mainly focused on the understanding and discovering of novel therapeutic strategies for counteracting tumor progression, particularly in considering molecular pathways including inflammatory, apoptosis and angiogenesis by using in vitro and in vivo models of glioblastoma and human samples (serum and tissue) from neuro-oncology patients.
